As we can tell from the Special Olympics, sports can be actively engaged by individuals with impairments and that includes those who are visually impaired! While it is a challenge, it can be conquered with training, support and guidance. Get the change to meet and be inspired by the TEAM Singapore para-athletes at the Visually Impaired Sports Awareness Carnival happening this Saturday, where they will share about their experiences and challenges faced with visual impairment.
The roving carnival will also be held on 19, 20, 24 and 26 June to bring an interesting line up of disability-friendly sport activities at four different locations. From ten-pin bowling to laser shooting, experience a variety of interesting sports at the carnival where you can have a hands-on experience as well as claim free gifts and prizes for your participation!
Admission is free and is organised by the Singapore National Eye Centre, Singapore Disability Sports Council, Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped, People’s Association Youth Movement as well as the Siglap South CC Youth Club and SSCC YEC Kindness Week.
