Singapore’s first ever Shinshin Tōitsu-dō (心身統一道) Edition!
This special edition of Yoga is joined by special guest yoga instructor, Makiko Deguchi, who will be infusing a Japanese form of yoga known as Shinshin-tōitsu-dō into the Hatha practice session.
Aiming to strengthen the bodies and minds of practitioners, this Japanese yoga demonstration will help reveal your nature of positivity, reform your subconscious, and help maintain a balanced condition in your nervous system.
After the yoga session:
Whether you’re a samurai, geisha, ninja or a GI Joe, nobody will ever say ‘no’ to Sushi, Sashimi & Green Tea.
Witness the traditional Japanese tea ceremony where one of you lucky participants shall be called upon to be served a cup of freshly brewed green tea. Right after, relish in the spread of Japanese sushi and condiments along with a free flow of Japanese green tea.
Please bring along your own yoga mat & towel
As an outdoor yoga experience, Japanese Yoga, Shinshin-tōitsu-dō and Sushi is subject to prevailing weather conditions. Specifically, rain will not prohibit any of the activities unless weather conditions present a danger to our participants.
Participants accept that in purchasing a ticket, they are paying for an outdoor yoga class commencing at approximately 9.30am at Singapore Botanic Gardens, and that weather conditions prior to that time and in other parts of Singapore will not result in the activity being cancelled. Participants accept the risk that weather they consider unsatisfactory may occur on an experience night, and acknowledge that tickets will not be exchanged unless the experience is cancelled by the organiser due to dangerous weather conditions.
In the unlikely event that an experience is cancelled, the organiser will re-schedule the experience to another day. If this is not possible, the customer will be entitled to exchange their ticket for a ticket to another date of their choice, subject to availability.

Are yoga mats provided?
No. All participants are required to bring their own mats.
What are the seating arrangements?
The seating allocated in general admission – you choose your own seat location.
It is raining. Is the event still on?
Yes and will be held at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The event is cancelled only when the organiser says that it is cancelled. You will be notified via SMS.
What are the safety directives you have in place for the participants?
The organiser has a public liability insurance in force, which covers all accidents pertaining to their classes held islandwide. However, they still place the safety of their participants on the top of their priority list. Solely relying on a public liability insurance goes against their code of ethics.
Additional precautionary measures are taken to avoid any mishaps or accidents. For example, the weather condition is not accessed simply by looking at the skies but rather by lightning risk assessment with real time information form the Meteorological Service of Singapore (MSS) which is governed by NEA.
What if the event is cancelled?
In the unlikely event that an experience is cancelled, the organiser will re-schedule the experience to another day. If this is not possible, the customer will be entitled to exchange their ticket for a ticket to another date of their choice by the same organiser, subject to availability.
