Enjoy Singapore National Day With These Perfect Firework Watching Spots

It’s that time of the year where Singapore celebrates its National Day, and no celebration of a country’s independence is complete without fireworks! Thus, for those fireworks fans, we’ve gathered a list of the best places to enjoy the National Day fireworks shows in Singapore – be it during the preview rehearsals or on the actual day itself.

Marina Bay Sands

The top of Marina Bay Sands offers the perfect spot to watch the fireworks. You’ll be standing atop the Sands Skypark observation deck, a good distance away from the ground and with a great view of the fireworks going off above the Central Business District. You should, however, remember that the place doesn’t allow for any kind of professional photographic equipment, so you’d have to make do with your smartphone.

Address: 10 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018956

Opening times: Mon–Thurs 9:30am–10pm; Fri–Sun, 9:30am–11pm.

Entrance fee: SGD23/adult, SGD17/child, SGD20/senior citizen

Marina Bay Promontory

If you would rather relax under the fireworks on National Day then Marina Bay has you covered. At the Promontory, you’d get to enjoy the view of the fireworks in the center of Central Business District without having to worry about the crowds (most people will probably go to Sands anyway). You and your friends can even take the chance to hold a picnic right under the light of the fireworks. Just make sure to go there a bit early to “chope” your place.

Address: 11 Marina Blvd, Singapore 018940

Opening times: 24/7, year round

Entrance fee: None

Picnics are great, but if that’s not your thing and you’d prefer something a little mor fancy, Monti offers its diners the chance to enjoy a five or six course dinner filled with tasty Italian dishes, courtesy of its National Day Menu. Guests will have the chance to enjoy some of Monti’s champagne to enjoy the occasion as well. It’s not just the food and wine that it offers either, Monti offers guests one of the best view of the fireworks, which can only go great with the Italian experience.

Address: Fullerton Pavilion, Marina Bay

Opening Times: 5 pm-9pm (on National Day)

Gardens by the Bay

We understand if you’d rather unwind and watch the fireworks among some greenery. Thankfully Gardens by the Bay is a bike ride away from East Coast Park and leads right to Marina Barrage. The spot between these two areas is big enough and offers a lot of great points for watching the fireworks shows juxtaposed by iconic Singapore buildings and all without having to worry about feeling crowded during the display.

Address: 18 Marina Gardens Dr, Singapore 018953

Opening times: 24/7, year round

Entrance fee: Free

Stadium Waterfront

Of course, another great spot for watching the fireworks would have to be the place where they are being held. Stadium Waterfront is spacious and has been the hub for a lot of events and concerts in the city. That being said, considering this is the place where it’s all starting off you are advised to get here early if you want to get a good spot, so make sure to bring a book along with you!

Address: 2 Stadium Walk (Various establishments)

Entrance fee: Free

We hope that these have given you some ideas on where you want to go for National Day. Remember though, it doesn’t matter the view or where you are when it’s on, what matters is that you celebrate the day alongside those you care about.
