Ms Felicia Wee, Deputy Executive Director of Metta said, “I was blessed with the great support received in 2013 when I raised a total of $9,020 (original target of $5,000) for the Metta Charity Run 2013. However, a knee injury put me in hiatus these past years BUT I would like to make it a possibility this year as Metta celebrates its 25th Silver Jubilee. This year, I would be getting an awesome running buddy Ryan to join me. Ryan is a 17 year old student with Autism studying in Metta School. He is also a member of Runninghour which he joined 2 years ago.”
This year’s target is $15,000 and even those who do not participate in the run is able to make a pledge. The funds raised through the Metta Charity Run will go towards supporting the development of various programs and services within the Metta Welfare Association, which includes the Metta Home for the Disabled, Metta Hospice, Metta Home Nursing, Metta [email protected], [email protected] and many more.
